Certified Professional of Healthcare Quality (CPHQ)

In October 2018, the MT Flex Program and the Hospital Improvement Innovation Network (HIIN) teamed up to provide a two-day prep course for 19 hospital staff and 2 program staff interested in becoming a Certified Professional in Healthcare Quality (CPHQ).

The CPHQ credential is awarded by the National Association for Healthcare Quality (NAHQ) and demonstrates to facility leadership, governing boards, patients, and fellow staff that these individuals have the ability to lead the efforts within their facility to improve outcomes.

Prior to the prep course offering, there were 23 CPHQs in Montana with only five of these individuals employed at Critical Access Hospitals. To date, that number has increased by 11, more than doubling the number of CPHQ’s working in Critical Access Hospitals across Montana!

MT Flex and HIIN Programs are proud to have played a part to promote excellence and professionalism in quality improvement.
