MT Flex Program Offering Lean Practitioner Course to CAH CEOs and Executives
Lean methodology is long standing concept that creates more value for customers with fewer resources. Lean methodologies originated in industry but has provided significant benefit in application in healthcare. Many Montana CAHs have experienced benefits from participation and adaption of Lean methodologies either by focused projects or adapting a hospital-wide Lean culture.
Lean has been a long standing pillar in the MT Flex Program with our annual Lean Internships by MSU Industrial Engineering Students. These students have provided long-standing impact to MT CAHs and have even found their career path in rural healthcare.
We want to support our CAHs in adopting a Lean culture and the first step is for CEOs and executive leadership teams to understand what Lean is, how it is practiced, and the short and long term benefits to your hospital and staff.
The course is made up of 8 self-paced modules with monthly live coaching sessions and discussion boards with other participants. Learners will have access to the course and a Lean Coach for one year.
The current cohort started June 1 and registration is closed, however, MT Flex intends to offer another cohort beginning Spring 2021.
