Becoming Resilient Through Self-Compassion

In a world full of critics, it is easy to be critical of ourselves and those we work closely with. Self-compassion starts with understanding our own inner critic. Self-criticism can lead to an increased sense of burnout and even compassion fatigue. Self-criticism leads to strained emotions which can inadvertently impact those closest to us at home and at work. The more aware we are of our inner critic, the more compassionate we will be when engaging with others. When we become more kind and forgiving of ourselves, we naturally become better versions of ourselves which in turn allows us to be more effective at work, in life, and at home. Today, more than ever, we need to be engaging with compassion and empathy.
