Communicating for HCAHPS: “Can you hear me now?”

July 31 @ 10:00 am - 11:00 am

Join us for a highly interactive webinar that will explore how our words and method of delivery impact  how our messages are received.  We will focus on patient’s perceptions (HCAHPS), transitions of care (EDTC) and more.  Please join us for a session where you will have the opportunity to collaborate with your peers and contribute tips (yes, successes and ‘not so much’) so we can all share and all learn.  Barb DeBaun, RN, MSN, CIC,  from Cynosure Health will facilitate this discussion and she guarantees you will walk away with some new ideas and energy!  As a bonus, we will offer CE credit for nurses.

Learning Objectives:

  1. Describe 3 myths associated with communication techniques
  2. Discuss 2 approaches to communication that results in positive outcomes
  3. Describe 3 methods that are designed to share information and shape behavior

This project was made possible by Grant #H54RH00046 (MT Medicare Rural Hospital Flexibility Grant) from the Health Resources and Services Administration (HRSA), Office of Rural Health Policy (ORHP) to the MT Department of Public Health and Human Services (DPHHS). Its contents are solely the responsibility of the authors and do not necessarily represent the official views of HRSA, ORHP or MT DPHHS.
