RCM Project 2017: Reducing Claim Denials

The MHA Flex Program will select 15 critical access hospitals to participate in a Rapid Cycle Improvement Project to identify best practices for reducing insurance claim denials. Flex has partnered with Abundant Solutions, LLC to offer coaching, webinars and one-on-one support to facilities interested in generating evidence-based solutions to improve processes where claim denials originate including: documentation supporting medical necessity, coding, entering patient information and insurance verification. Each CAH will be responsible for sharing its findings with the Performance Improvement Network (PIN). Applications are due April 7. For more information, contact Jamie Schultz, Rural Hospital Improvement Coordinator, at jamie.schultz@mtha.org.
